1. How do I order prints? The fastest way to get your own prints, digital downloads and related products like mugs, mousepads, etc., is to order them online directly through Shutterfly. Please be sure to preview your photos in the size you are ordering to be sure that the cropping will work for that size. If it cuts off a head or other critical body part, don't order that size and please call that to my attention at rockley@hbeats.com. I will recrop the photo for the size you desire.
2. What about my $30 photo deposit? You should have received or will receive shortly via email, your initial digital pictures which include your group pictures and at least two individual pictures. You may order additional photos from our Shutterfly Account at additional cost.
3. Copyright Notice and Permissions. Copyright to all photos is held and retained by HeartBeats. Upon purchase of a digital version of any individual photo, you are granted permission to make your own prints and to share your individual photo with your friends and relatives via email, your own family website, or Facebook. You may also share the HeartBeats photo access password with your relatives if you would like to allow them to order their own prints or hoto gift products directly from Shutterfly. You may not post any of your photos for resale or redistribution on the internet. We also ask that you not reproduce or post copies of your group pictures in such a manner that other families can download or copy those images. This could unfairly inhibit our sales to other dancers in the routine and force us to raise our prices to offset such losses. We have implemented the new photo model at HeartBeats in an effort to provide a greater variety of photo options and substantial savings to each family. We appreciate your cooperation is making this work for all of us.
4. What if my dancer missed all the photo days, did not have any photos taken, and we don't want to do a private sitting? If this is the case and you were charged an initial $30 photo deposit, you may want some photos from the recital and dress rehearsal or you may request that the photo deposit be credited back to your HeartBeats account for application to your regular tuition or other charges.
5. What if I receive a photo from Shutterfly that is too dark or too light? Sometimes it is hard to preview some of the adjustments that are made through Shutterfly software. If you don't like your photo for any reason, return it to the studio and we will make all the adjustments in house until you are completely satisfied with the result.
6. What if I would like to have my photo on a different background? This will require a custom edit in-house but is not a big problem. Just let me know the photo name and edit number of your photo and the name and number of a photo with the background and cropping you would like. We will create your new custom photo for you and post it to your family account for just $10. You may then order prints through Shutterfly or in-house at the studio.
7. Will there be an opportunity to have a private sitting for other family photos at the studio? Yes!! Once we get past this initial crunch from the recital we will open the photo studio for private photo sessions.
8. Can I post my photos on Facebook? If you purchase a digital download of an individual or family photo, you are granted the rights to make prints, send those to your friends and relatives via email, or post them on your Facebook page.
